SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, 30th June (EUROPA PRESS) –
A 62-year-old man sustained serious injuries, while a 55-year-old woman suffered moderate injuries following a crash on Saturday afternoon on the TF-5 motorway, passing through La Laguna (Tenerife).
The Emergency and Security Coordination Centre (Cecoes) 112 reported that Civil Protection of Santa Cruz de Tenerife, along with an ambulance from the Non-Urgent Medical Transport service of the SUC, were the first responders on the scene, providing assistance to the injured individuals until the arrival of urgent care ambulances.
During the medical attention, the man, who had severe multiple traumas, went into cardiac arrest, which was successfully reversed by the healthcare team. After stabilising him, he was transferred to the Canary Islands University Hospital.
The woman, on the other hand, suffered several moderate injuries and was treated on-site before being taken to San Juan de Dios Hospital.
Subsequently, the Civil Guard took over the necessary administrative procedures.
