The fact that Ed Sheeran is passionate about Tenerife is something that many have probably already noticed. In fact, his song ‘Tenerife Sea’ makes it clear that he must have a liking for the island to dedicate a song specifically to this Canarian corner.
But beyond that, the artist, who on Saturday thrilled over 35,000 people at the Heliodoro Rodríguez López stadium, has sent another nod to the inhabitants of Tenerife with his latest social media post, in which it seems the singer has taken advantage of his visit to the island to shoot the music video for ‘Tenerife Sea’.

In his post, he wrote: “Singing ‘Tenerife Sea’ in the ‘Tenerife Sea’ (Tenerife sea). Soon, the full video.”.
In the images, you can see Ed Sheeran singing with his guitar on a boat on the coast of San Andrés. A clear and direct message of what is to come.

And not only did he show his affection for the island with his attire, but also with his words. Thus, during his concert, he made it clear that, although he has been singing around the world for 15 years, he has never been in a place as wonderful and welcoming as this that has inspired him so much. And, in relation to his song ‘Tenerife Sea’, he said: “I am very happy to sing this song in Tenerife for the first time”.
In addition to the t-shirt he wore on stage, during the performance, the artist changed and wore the colours of CD Tenerife, which he had previously requested from the CEO of the Development Society of Santa Cruz, Carmen Pérez.
