Rescued Climber in Tenerife after Accident

A 43-year-old man who had an accident while climbing in the town of Tacoronte, Tenerife, was rescued by the Emergency and Security Group (GES) helicopter on Saturday, as reported by the 112 Emergency and Security Coordination Centre.

The incident took place on Mesa del Mar beach, and due to the inaccessible location of the victim, the GES helicopter was mobilised for the rescue operation that saw the man evacuated to the La Guancha helipad.

An ambulance from the Canary Islands Emergency Service was on standby at the helipad, providing immediate care and transferring the man to the hospital in the north, where he was admitted with a moderate leg injury.

Firefighters, Local Police, and the Civil Guard all collaborated in the rescue mission to assist the injured climber.
