The council of Orotava is seeking applications to establish a temporary list of caretakers to occupy positions in sports facilities, cultural centres, and educational institutions in the municipality. The municipal corporation aims to fill eight vacant roles.
The recruitment, under category 6 of labour personnel, will be carried out through the free opposition system, deemed most suitable for the nature of the duties assigned to the positions in question, ensuring equality in the selection process.
Applicants must be Spanish citizens or nationals of a European Union Member State to be eligible to take the selection tests. The spouses of Spanish citizens and nationals of EU Member States, along with their descendants, can also participate under specific conditions. They must demonstrate a proficiency in the Spanish language through a sworn declaration or other legally accepted means.
Minimum requirements include being at least sixteen years old, not exceeding the maximum age for retirement, and holding a Compulsory Secondary Education Certificate, First Level Vocational Training, or equivalent qualifications. They should also be medically fit to perform the duties of the intended role. Candidates with disabilities must provide certification of their disability level as per the regulations set in Royal Decree 1971/1999, of December 23.

The application deadline is 10 business days from the day following the publication of the recruitment details in the Official Gazette of the Province of Santa Cruz de Tenerife. If the deadline falls on a non-business day, it will be extended to the next business day, allowing submissions from July 1 onwards.
The examination fee should be paid to the CaixaBank account ES93 2100 9169 0122 0008 4150, following the guidelines provided in Tax Ordinance 2.10. Payment should be made via self-assessment, and the application form can be obtained from the corporation’s website.
No refunds will be provided for examination fees if a candidate is excluded from the selection process due to their own actions or if they do not participate due to reasons beyond the control of the City Council.
The completed application form, along with the required documentation, should be submitted to the City Council’s registration assistance offices, by certified mail or electronically with an electronic ID or digital certificate, ensuring compliance with all instructions mentioned in the recruitment notice.
