The Tenerife Tram to Implement Summer Timetable Starting this Monday: Here’s What’s Changing



Metrotenerife, the transportation provider of the Cabildo de Tenerife, is set to commence its summer timetable for the tram service starting this upcoming Monday.

Accordingly, Line 1 will run from 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. with intervals of 6 minutes, while Line 2 will operate every 12 minutes.

On other weekdays, the tram service will be adjusted based on the time slot until it concludes at midnight, as per the company’s announcement on Wednesday.

The transition to summer hours will be in effect only from Monday to Friday, while weekend services will maintain their regular frequencies, schedules, and will operate round the clock.

Weekdays

Line 1 will run every 6 minutes from Monday to Friday, between 7:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m., and then at intervals of 7, 7.5, and 15 minutes until the end of service.

As for Line 2, trams will operate every 12 minutes until 3:00 p.m. following which they will run every 15 minutes.

Metrotenerife plans to once again adapt the transport schedule to summer demand on Monday the 8th.

Hence, from that specific date, Monday the 8th, Line 1 will operate on weekdays at intervals of 7 minutes, while Line 2 will run primarily every 14 minutes. Daylight saving time will be extended until early September.
