The concerned family of Jay Slater suspects that the young man, who has gone missing in Tenerife, may have been captured on surveillance cameras ten hours after he was last sighted on the island. His mother, Debbie Duncan, in a state of desperation, has expressed her frustration with conspiracy theorists and made a heartfelt plea: “I sincerely hope I won’t have to bring my son back home in a body bag.”
Jay made a final frantic call to his friend Lucy Law last Monday revealing that he was disoriented in a remote location, his phone was on the verge of dying, and he was in dire need of water. The night before, he had attended a party with his friends Lucy and Brad, but later left the nightclub with two individuals he had met that evening.
The young man from Lancashire, UK, accompanied them back to their Airbnb situated in a mountainous region close to the town of Masca. Following his departure from the lodging, Jay missed his transport home on Monday morning and was left to face a 10-hour hike. Since then, there has been no sign or communication from him, and search and rescue teams have so far been unsuccessful in locating him, as the search effort now reaches its eighth day.
