For the upcoming Ed Sheeran concert in Tenerife, the Cabildo has taken steps to enhance public transportation services by buses and trams. The concert is scheduled to take place this Saturday at the Heliodoro Rodríguez Stadium.

Rosa Dávila, the president of the Cabildo of Tenerife, mentioned in a statement that preparations are in full swing for this major cultural event of the year.

Expressing her enthusiasm, Dávila stated, “Everything is set for this spectacular concert that once again puts us on the map of major international events. We are bolstering public transportation services by buses and trams in Tenerife.”

Metrotenerife will be boosting Line 1 by running trams on demand before and after the event to cater to the attendees’ needs.

Furthermore, the Tenerife transport operator will keep a close eye on passenger numbers at Line 1 stops during those hours, allowing them to introduce up to three extra trams into service.

With regard to bus services, Transportes Interurbanos de Tenerife (Titsa), a company under the Cabildo de Tenerife, will be enhancing the services of six bus lines to accommodate concert-goers.

Within the urban service of Santa Cruz de Tenerife, lines 908 (Intercambiador, Barrio de Ofra Juan XXIII, Intercambiador), 934 (Circular Intercambiador de Santa Cruz, Taco, Santa María del Mar), and 936 (Circular Intercambiador de Santa Cruz, Añaza, Santa María del Mar, Taco, Intercambiador) will see reinforcement in their regular schedules.

Additional services will be provided for the line 014 (Santa Cruz Interchange, La Laguna Interchange through La Cuesta) and line 232 (Santa Cruz Interchange, El Cardonal, La Gallega) in the metropolitan area.

Moreover, line 111 (Santa Cruz, Los Cristianos, Costa Adeje) will have increased frequencies to meet the expected demand for connecting the southern part of the island with the capital.

For passengers from the northern region of the island, they can access the La Laguna Interchange and then transfer to line 014 towards the Heliodoro Rodríguez López area.

The company also emphasises that all other bus lines, even without additional services, will operate according to their regular weekend schedules.
