A total of 2,431 students visited the airports of the Canary Islands, where they had the opportunity to firsthand experience the operations of some of the archipelago’s aerodromes. During the recently concluded 2023-2024 academic year, 85 visits were conducted by various educational institutions across the islands. These included visits by centres catering to individuals with disabilities and Enclave classrooms.
Consequently, Gran Canaria Airport welcomed 218 students from 18 different centres. Tenerife South Airport and Fuerteventura Airport each hosted 16 visits, with 500 and 543 students, respectively; alongside La Palma, with 13 visits and 504 students, were the top recipients, surpassing the five hundred mark. Tenerife North-Ciudad de La Laguna Airport had 9 visits with 229 students, César Manrique-Lanzarote 7 visits and 275 students, El Hierro 5 visits with 150 students, and La Gomera had 1 visit with 12 students.

During the visits, students tour the airport terminal and also learn about the operations of the Wildlife Control Service and the Firefighting and Rescue Service (SSEI).
