SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, 23rd June (EUROPA PRESS) –
The search for Jay Dean Slater, a 19-year-old British individual reported missing by two companions on Monday, 18th June, in the vicinity of the Teno Rural Park, is being resumed for the sixth consecutive day by the Civil Guard, as stated by sources within the armed Institute.
A variety of Civil Guard units, along with other emergency services, are involved in the search efforts, centred around the Masca ravine and neighbouring ravines.
The Foreign and Commonwealth Office of the United Kingdom has released a statement expressing solidarity with the missing young man’s family and is collaborating with local authorities on the island to locate him. His mother is currently in Tenerife as well.
Young Jay Slater had travelled to the island to attend a music festival in San Miguel de Abona. Subsequently, following an encounter with other individuals, he found himself in a different residence, located a considerable distance away from his own apartment.
During his last communication with his friends, amidst very low phone battery, he realised he had missed the bus, was disoriented as he wandered around, and was in urgent need of water.
