The eve of San Juan in Canary Islands, this Sunday, will be accompanied by occasional gusts that can exceed 70 kilometers per hour in the western extreme of Gran Canaria and to the south of Tenerife, on a day with cloudy skies in the north of the islands and west of Lanzarote and Fuerteventura, and maximum temperatures slightly rising.
As forecasted by the State Meteorological Agency (Aemet), clouds will be present during the morning and in the late hours, but clear skies will be opening up for the rest of Sunday, with the trade winds intensifying, especially in exposed slopes of the aforementioned areas.
Regarding sea conditions, the wind will blow from the northeast with force 4 or 5, occasionally reaching 6 in wide maritime areas of the archipelago. There will be rough sea or strong rough sea in the western province and slight to rough sea in the eastern, as well as northerly swell of one to two meters in height.
