SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, 22 June (EUROPA PRESS) –
An incident today on the TF-5 near Somosierra resulted in injuries for a 61-year-old woman and a 55-year-old man following a collision between a car and a motorcycle, according to reports from the Emergency Coordination Center and Security (Cecoes) 1-1-2.
The accident took place at approximately 10:45 a.m. as the 1-1-2 emergency service received a call about the crash. Cecoes promptly deployed the necessary response teams.
Responders from the Canary Islands Emergency Service (SUC), including a medicalized ambulance and a basic life support ambulance, as well as personnel from the Civil Guard and the Cabildo’s road maintenance service, quickly arrived at the scene.
The SUC team provided initial assessment, assistance, and transportation for the injured individuals to Ntra. Sra de Candelaria University Hospital. The woman sustained moderate chest and wrist injuries, while the man suffered moderate lower extremity trauma.
The Civil Guard conducted an investigation and managed traffic flow on the road to alleviate congestion caused by the accident. Road maintenance personnel were tasked with clearing the roadway.
