David Reyes is leaving the municipal government of Guía de Isora in a minority position. The councillor from Coalition Canaria (CC) formally notified the Isorano City Council of his transition to the status of unassigned councillor. Until the moment of submitting the document (last Wednesday), the former number two on the Isorano nationalist candidacy list was serving as the deputy mayor and councillor in charge of Municipal Services, Health, Concession Companies and Services, Works, Transport, and Human Resources.
This move results in the local government, consisting of CC (6) and PP (4), with the nationalist Ana Dorta as mayor, now having 10 councillors. The absolute majority is set at 11, which is now the total of PSOE (10) and the unassigned councillor, David Reyes, who does not provide reasons for justifying this decision in his resignation. CC (ATI) regained the Isorano Mayorship in 2023, after Pedro Martín (PSOE) won the elections in 1995 against Pedro Reyes, the father of councillor David Reyes.
