The usual meeting of the Governing Council of the Autonomous Body of Festivals and Recreational Activities (OAFAR) took place this morning, on Friday, June 21. During the meeting, the approval was given for the tender of stage assembly services for Carnival 2025 in Santa Cruz de Tenerife, as well as the bidding process for low-voltage electrical installation services for the entire holiday program. All agenda items were passed with full agreement.
For the electrical installation services tender, the initial budget stands at 521,724.93 Euros, split into two parts, 394,001.48 Euros and 127,723.45 Euros respectively. In terms of contracting for the leasing, installation, maintenance, and dismantling of technical structures, the budget totals 1,457,666.61 Euros, divided into four segments of 778,950.37 Euros; 177,331.10 Euros; 283,587.60 Euros; and 217,797.54 Euros. This is conditional on having sufficient and appropriate funding in the coming years to cover related expenses.
Mayor of Santa Cruz, José Manuel Bermúdez, emphasized that “this process is crucial to ensure that our globally renowned festivals are held with the grandeur and safety they deserve.” The local official highlighted that “we encourage reputable companies to participate in this competitive process, adhering to the highest technical standards and sharing our enthusiasm for making the Tenerife Carnival an unparalleled event.”
Festival Councilor, Javier Caraballero, underlined that “these are essential services, as the stage is the focal point of the celebration, and a secure and efficient electrical setup ensures that all events proceed smoothly and securely for seamless execution.”
During today’s session, approvals were also granted for matters related to contracting material transportation services for OAFAR’s planned events, as well as porter and accommodation services for the Carnival celebrations.
