Over 900 cannabis plants found concealed in a glasshouse in Tenerife

Officers of the Civil Guard unit from the Main Post of Granadilla de Abona, situated in the southern region of Tenerife, have confiscated more than 900 cannabis plants in a glasshouse located in the municipality of Arico. They are also investigating two individuals, aged 35 and 32, residents of the municipality of Arona, for their alleged involvement in a crime against public health.

On Wednesday, the Civil Guard officers seized 903 cannabis plants that were on the verge of being harvested, as they had reached the final stages of the growth process. Additionally, various tools used in the cultivation process were confiscated, such as a pollen production machine (pollinator), drying mesh, precision scales, fertilizers, as well as several plants already in the drying phase with an estimated weight of 20 kilograms of cannabis buds.

This operation was made possible through the investigation carried out by the Civil Guard Unit in recent months, culminating in the search and entry conducted yesterday. This intervention reaffirms the commitment of the Civil Guard in combating the cultivation and distribution of cannabis. The actions taken have been reported to the Investigating Court on duty in Granadilla de Abona.
