THE WEATHER IN THE CANARY ISLANDS | How will the weather look this Wednesday in the Canary Islands?

The State Meteorological Agency (Aemet) forecasts for this Wednesday cloudy skies with some clearings in the north of the mountainous islands and mostly clear skies in the rest, maximum temperatures slightly decreasing, except in Lanzarote and Fuerteventura, and moderate northeast wind with strong gusts.

According to the Aemet forecast, there is a possibility of wind gusts occasionally exceeding 70 km/h during the afternoon, and strong westerly wind is expected in the high peaks of Tenerife during the first half of the day.

Regarding sea conditions, it is forecasted north and northeast winds force 3 to 5, 4 or 5 and 6, occasionally 7, slight swell increasing to rough swell, and variable force 1 to 3 in west and southwest coasts with slight swell or smooth sea. There will be north swell waves of 1 to 2 metres.

Cloudy in the north, with occasional weak rain not ruled out during the early morning, with some clearings in the afternoon. In the rest, mostly clear or sunny. Maximum temperatures slightly to moderately decreasing, more pronounced in inland areas. Minimum temperatures with few changes, with some slight decreases. Moderate northeast winds, with strong gusts on the southeast and west slopes, not ruling out some gusts during the afternoon occasionally exceeding 70 km/h.

Partly cloudy, more compact in the north, with significant clearings during midday hours. Temperatures remain unchanged. Moderate northeast wind with strong gusts in inland areas in the latter part of the day.

FUERTEVENTURA

Partly cloudy at first and last hours, clearing up for the rest of the day. Temperatures remain unchanged. Moderate northeast wind with strong gusts in inland areas and south of Jandía in the early morning and in the latter part of the day.

Temperatures fall slightly to moderately, especially in the north and high peaks. Minimum temperatures with minor changes, with some slight decreases. Moderate northeast winds, occasionally strong in the southeast

In the northern and eastern regions, cloudy skies are expected with possible light and occasional rain early in the morning, becoming partly cloudy in the afternoon. In other areas, it will be mostly clear with some cloudy intervals during the early morning and towards the end of the day. Maximum temperatures will slightly to moderately decrease, especially in the mountain summits. Minimum temperatures will slightly rise. There will be moderate northeast winds, occasionally strong in the northwest and southeast areas, with the possibility of gusts occasionally exceeding 70 km/h in the afternoon. On the mountain summits, there will be light winds mainly from the northeast.

Expect mostly clear skies, except in the north where there will be cloudy skies early in the morning with a chance of light and occasional rain. Maximum temperatures will slightly decrease, while minimum temperatures will remain largely unchanged. There will be moderate northeast winds, occasionally strong in the El Golfo area and the southeast coast during the central hours of the day.
