SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, 17th June (EUROPA PRESS) –
Tenerife Interurban Transport (Titsa) will launch its summer timetables commencing this Saturday, 22nd June, which will be effective until early September. This adjustment aims to cater to the changing needs of passengers during the summer period, particularly services heading to various coastal areas of the island.
Services like lines 021 (Tacoronte-Mesa de Mar) and 023 (Tacoronte-El Pris) are increasing the frequency of their trips, along with line 050 (La Laguna-Bajamar-Punta Hidalgo). The interurban line 014 (Santa Cruz-La Laguna Interchange) is also adapting its schedules. Line 012 (La Laguna-Tacoronte-El Sauzal) is making changes to its routes, and line 52, linking the La Laguna Interchange with Tegueste via El Socorro, will see some time adjustments.
Moreover, route 122 (Santa Cruz-Caletillas-Candelaria Interchange) will introduce additional weekend trips during the summertime. Similarly, lines 138 and 139, connecting the Santa Cruz Interchange with Radazul and Tabaiba, will have increased services in the afternoons to support the return traffic from the beach areas.
Additionally, as is customary every summer, Titsa will activate line 546 from the town of Los Realejos to Socorro beach. Line 376, linking La Orotava Station with El Rincón, will also increase its trip frequency over the summer. Furthermore, line 369 (Buenavista-Teno) will extend its operating hours, starting from 9:00 a.m. and ending at 7:45 p.m. from Teno, effective from 1st July.
URBAN TRANSPORT SERVICES.
During the summer, Titsa will resume line 948 between Benijo and Taganana on Saturdays, Sundays, and public holidays. Line 946 (Santa Cruz–Taganana–Almaciga Interchange) will see an increase of two trips in each direction on weekends and holidays. The 910 (Santa Cruz-San Andrés-Playa de Las Teresitas Interchange) will enhance its services to provide more frequent options for commuters.
Lines 905 (Muelle Norte-Ofra), 934, and 936 (Santa Cruz-Taco-Santa María del Mar-Añaza-Intercambiador) will adjust their schedules according to weekday demand.
Line 224 (La Laguna-Valle Guerra-Tejina-Punta del Hidalgo Interchange) will modify its timetables and usual course to better serve the coastal areas of La Barranquera and Jover. The 217, connecting the La Laguna–Los Andenes–El Cardonal–Hospital Universitario de Canarias Interchange, will also see some schedule adjustments.
Services on routes 392 (Icod de los Vinos-Puerto de Erjos via El Tanque), 410 (Granadilla-San Isidro-El Médano-Los Abrigos), 412 (Granadilla-San Isidro-Los Abrigos), 419 (Granadilla-Los Abrigos), 421 (Valle San Lorenzo-La Camella-Cabo Blanco-C. Buzanada-IES Las Galletas), 463 (Chimiche-El Salto-Charcay -Charco del Pino-IES Granadilla), 486 (IES San Miguel-Aldea Blanca-Las Chafiras-Guargacho-El Fraile) will cease operation. Additionally, shuttle services from the north to the Guajara Campus, 606 and 608, which cater to school or university needs, will also be inactive until the start of the next academic year in September.
