The ordinary June call for the Baccalaureate Assessment for University Access (EBAU) saw a remarkable success rate, with a total of 4,242 students passing the exam, which represents 92.7% of the 4,574 candidates who participated in the general phase. Forty-one candidates were absent.
This year’s results surpassed those of 2023, where 90.5% of candidates passed the exam, amounting to 4,242 out of 4,733 individuals, as reported by the University of La Laguna.
In Tenerife, out of 4,152 registered candidates, 3,820 successfully passed the exam (92.81%), while 296 failed, and 36 did not attend.
On the island of La Palma, 340 out of 369 candidates (93.15%) passed, with 25 failing and 4 not taking the exams.
In La Gomera, 58 candidates (89.23%) passed out of 65, while 7 were unsuccessful. In El Hierro, the pass rate was 85.7%, with 24 out of 29 candidates passing, 4 failing, and 1 not appearing for the exam.
In the Science and Technology category, there were 2,537 registrations, with 2,389 candidates deemed eligible (93.6%), while 161 failed and 23 were absent during the exam.
Under Humanities and Social Sciences, there were 1,734 registrations, out of which 1,585 (92.25%) were successful, 133 unsuccessful, and 16 did not appear for the exam.
In Arts, specifically Music and Performing Arts, 56 candidates out of 69 (82.35%) passed, with 12 failing and one not appearing. In the category of Plastic Arts, Image and Design, 154 candidates (93.9%) out of 164 passed, with 10 failing.
Out of 75 candidates in the general modality, 58 passed (78.37%), 16 failed, and one did not attend the exam.
Students who wish to appeal their results can do so until this Tuesday, and the final grades will be released on the 21st once the appeals are processed.
Candidates wanting to review their exams can make a request on June 24 and 25, with appointments for the review process scheduled between June 28 and July 1, as explained by the ULL.
The extraordinary EBAU exams will take place on July 3, 4, and 5 at the same venues as the ordinary June exams.
Admission at the ULL
The University of La Laguna has commenced the pre-registration period for undergraduate degrees, which will be open until 2:00 p.m. on July 1.
The whole procedure will be carried out online through the dedicated section available on the academic institution’s website, which includes the detailed schedule.
Consequently, starting from the 8th of July, the consultation will be accessible to verify if the individual has been accepted into the process. They will then have until the following day at 2:00 p.m. to raise concerns and submit any additional documentation if required.
The initial list of allocated spots will be announced on the 12th of July at 10:00 a.m. Between that day and the 16th of the same month, successful candidates who received their first-choice preference will be able to enrol.
During those same dates, individuals can also raise objections to the initial list.
The second list of allocated spots and the waiting list will be disclosed on the 19th of July at 10:00 a.m. On this occasion, those who secured a spot in any of their preferred options will have until the 23rd to register.
The waiting lists will be processed on the 25th and 26th of July in two time slots, from 9:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. and from 12:00 p.m. to 2:30 p.m.
Registration for these lists will be open from the 29th to the 31st of July, with a window for raising objections on the 29th and 30th.
This will mark the conclusion of the pre-registration and enrolment process within the regular period for new students.
By the 2nd of August, the list of available spots resulting from this process will be published, forming the pool for extraordinary pre-registration. The application window for this phase will be open from the 27th to the 30th of August, with a single list of allocated spots to be announced on the 5th of September at 10:00 a.m.
