Tenerife is packed with weekend activities thanks to both public and private efforts to maintain entertainment on the island. Traditions, cinema, and sports are the enticing options available in the upcoming days for you to enjoy a few hours of leisure according to your taste. Here are the plans scheduled for this weekend:
Film
TEA Tenerife Espacio de las Artes will be screening the new movie by Radu Jude, Don’t Expect Too Much from the End of the World, this weekend at 7:00 p.m. This film, featuring the hilarious Nina Hoss, combines satire on capitalism with references to Ukraine, TikTok, and right-wing influencer Andrew Tate.

Traditions
La Orotava will host various events for its patron saint festivities this weekend. On Saturday, the day will start at 11:00 a.m. with the procession of the images of San Isidro Labrador and Santa María de la Cabeza from El Calvario to the fairground of Las Dehesas, where the livestock fair will take place with a mass and blessing of the animals. The procession will then return to the starting point.
On Sunday, one of the main events will take place with the celebration of the pilgrimage, featuring 75 carts and over 25,000 participants.
In addition, in Santa Cruz, on Saturday, the first magos de Chamberí dance will be held inside the sports complex in the neighbourhood from 5:00 to 11:00 p.m., featuring performances by folk groups such as Orígenes, Verode, Atenguajos, Santo Ángel, and Alborada.
Concert
Colombian artist Camilo will perform for the first time in Tenerife this Saturday starting at 9:30 p.m. The singer will get the audience dancing at the Campo de Golf Costa Adeje as part of his ‘Our Happy Place Tour’. The concert will feature songs from his new album, ‘Cuatro’, such as ‘Plis’ with his wife Evaluna Montaner, and ‘Una vida pasada’ with Carín León. Attendees will also have the chance to sing along to his greatest hits like ‘Vida de rico’, ‘Bebé’, ‘Tutú’, ‘Índigo’, ‘Si me dices que sí’, and ‘Ropa Cara’.
Moreover, the event Arona en Colores will take place in Las Galletas this Saturday, featuring performances by David Bustamante (10:30 p.m.), las K-narias (9:30 p.m.), Tony Tun Tun (8:40 p.m.), Miriam Reyes (8:00 p.m.), 101 Brass Band (7:00 p.m.), and Mario Falero (6:30 p.m.). The event will be held at Plaza Paulino Suances.
