SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, June 12. (EUROPA PRESS) –
The president of the Cabildo of Tenerife, Rosa Dávila, has expressed concern this Wednesday about the “impact” on the image of CD Tenerife that the trial of the National Court against the club’s largest shareholder, José Miguel Garrido, may have for his involvement. in the ‘Nummaria case’.
In statements to ‘Radio Club Tenerife’ collected by Europa Press, he has shown “respect” for Garrido’s procedural strategy but at the same time has left it in the hands of the shareholders to make decisions that they consider best for the “image” of the entity.
He has also recognized that CD Tenerife is a commercial company and has a “majority shareholder” but has not hidden that he would like, in a personal capacity, a president who “feels the colors, if this is the person who feels the colors, welcome be”.
Dávila has defended the “enormous work” done by the club’s president, Paulino Rivero, and in the face of an eventual change in the club’s structure, he has left the decisions in the hands of the board of directors and the rest of the large shareholders.
As ‘Diario de Avisos’ reported this Wednesday, Garrido has pleaded guilty to up to five tax crimes in a macro case with more than 30 defendants, including the actors Imanol Arias and Ana Duato, for having defrauded the Treasury regarding 1.8 million between 2011 and 2016.
