The adapted football futsal party once again exceeded expectations in Arucas in a day that brought together over fifty athletes from the organizing body Inclúyete Sports Club, as well as from Arucas CF I+I and Tenerife Iberia Toscal. The ‘Olympic José Juan Navarro Batista’ pavilion hosted three exciting games, filled with camaraderie and friendship. Friendly matches without scores, packed with goals for inclusion where the talent, dedication, effort, and spirit of overcoming obstacles by the players was outstanding.
A lively morning that received the support of the Sports Council of the Hon. Arucas City Council, with the presence of its head José María González, as well as the councilors for Social Services, Yésica Guerra, and for Equality, Beatriz Herrera. An event that also involves the DISA Foundation, through its “Capacitas” program, and that marked three years as a pioneering event in the province of Las Palmas. The matches were played in two halves of fifteen minutes, with the two local teams inaugurating the event. Next, Tenerife Iberia Toscal and Arucas CF I+I, followed by Inclúyete and the Tenerife team, completed the programme.

The closing ceremony was another touching moment where each participant received their commemorative shirt and medal, along with a token of appreciation for each club. Inclúyete expressed their gratitude for the excellent performance of the two guest teams, who reciprocated by congratulating the hosts for the organization and execution of this event coinciding with the Patron Saint Festivities of San Juan Bautista that the northern municipality celebrates every June. Always with the aim of promoting and raising awareness about the inclusion and integration of people with disabilities, as well as educating in values and equality through sports.
