VALVERDE (EL HIERRO), 10th June (EUROPA PRESS) –
A cayuco carrying 145 migrants of sub-Saharan descent, including nine women and four minors, docked at the port of La Restinga on Monday, in the municipality of El Pinar, as reported by sources from Maritime Rescue.
The vessel was spotted by the SIVE just slightly over eight nautical miles from the island. The Salvamar Adhara was dispatched to rendezvous with it and safely escorted it to the port, where the migrants, seemingly in good health, received assistance from the Canarian Emergency Service and the Red Cross.
