A white smoke column inside the protected area has triggered an alarm in the Teide National Park. An incipient fire has mobilised the extinction resources.
On the scene, resources from the BRIFOR and Firefighters Consortium of Tenerife are working. The fire has started near a road, allowing the extinction teams easy access to the location.

The main affected area is predominantly covered by low broom terrain. No injuries have been reported, and the cause of the fire in an area with heavy vehicle traffic remains unknown.
