Fire Breakout Successfully Contained in Teide National Park



The authorities of the Tenerife forestry and fire departments have effectively controlled a wildfire in the El Teide National Park. The fire had spread only about 300 meters, predominantly affecting brushwood and undergrowth.

By approximately 5:45 p.m., the situation was under control, according to the announcement by the La Orotava City Council, which had declared it only 45 minutes earlier.

Response teams including the forestry brigades (Brifor), Tenerife Firefighters, Civil Protection of the Villa de La Orotava, and the Local Police of the municipality swiftly mobilized to the scene.
