Residents and local business owners along Fernández Navarro Street, at the intersection with Leoncio Rodríguez, in the heart of Santa Cruz, are expressing their frustration over the prolonged delay in opening a playground. To bring attention to the issue in a lighthearted manner, they have put up a sign that reads: “The days of my youth are numbered.” Some shopkeepers have shared that the mayor has inspected the site a couple of times and even mentioned that it would be inaugurated on Canary Islands Day.
