An expert travel magazine has issued its verdict on the most beautiful villages in each province of Spain. More than fifty villages concentrated in the same ranking. Out of these, two are from Canary Islands. The goal of the list is to discover places that are postcard-perfect.

Gran Canaria and Tenerife have been the two Islands chosen, and Teror (Gran Canaria) and Garachico (Tenerife) are the two selected island villages. Both have been featured on the page accompanied by a photo that not only catches the eye but also showcases the landscapes of these two areas.

There are many aspects that make Canary Islands a special place. From its distinct dialect to its unique landscapes. Features like these make the Islands a charming place.

Why is Teror one of the most beautiful Canarian villages?

Known as the balcony of Gran Canaria, Teror captivates visitors with its cobbled streets, colourful houses, and charming squares, which reflect the rich colonial heritage of the island. This is how the magazine, Viajar, describes the Gran Canarian village. It is one of the most representative places on the island. The Church of Our Lady of the Pine is one of the most emblematic monuments, as it houses the Virgin of the Pine, the patroness of Gran Canaria.

Another aspect that makes Teror a special place is its market. As described in the magazine’s article, it offers a wide variety of local products. From typical foods like the traditional Teror chorizo, to handcrafted items.

Furthermore, the village is surrounded by a natural landscape dominated by mountains. Thanks to aspects like these, visitors can enjoy various outdoor activities in the area.

Garachico, Among the Most Charming Places in the Canary Islands

Garachico, a municipality located on the island of Tenerife, stands out, among other things, for its natural pools, formed by volcanic eruptions. This allows visitors to enjoy a pleasant time, especially during the summer, in an amazing natural environment as categorized by the Viajar magazine article.

The picturesque village has a significant historical and architectural heritage worth exploring. There you will find the mythical San Miguel Castle, a defensive tower that hides multiple stories. Moreover, part of the territory is covered by Canary pine, volcanic landscape, and a cliff. Its cobbled streets invite anyone walking through the area to visit the village, its buildings, and its history.
