The City Council of Santa Cruz de Tenerife has launched a new programme to encourage sustainable transport through bicycle usage across the city’s various neighbourhoods. The complimentary course named “Master the Bike” will kick off in the Southwest district in the upcoming weekend of 15th and 16th June, and will continue on 22nd and 23rd June, running from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Santa Catalina Park in La Gallega.
Registration is open for 10 spots for individuals aged 12 and above, coordinated by the Universal Mobility and Accessibility Service and conducted by Tenerife by Bike, including the provision of bicycles and helmets for the sessions.
Allocation of slots will be based on pre-registration order, with priority given to district residents, then to other Santa Cruz de Tenerife municipality residents, and finally to those committing to full course attendance.
Scheduled Sessions in Each Neighbourhood
- La Gallega District at Santa Catalina Park: June 15, 16, 22, and 23
- Central-Ifara District at Ramón y Cajal parking lot: September 14, 15, 21, and 22
- Ofra-South Coast District at Las Delicias Sports Center: October 19, 20, 26, and 27
- Health District-La Salle at La Granja park or Don Quijote park: November 9, 10, 16, and 17
- Anaga District at San Andrés school: November 23, 24, 30, and December 1
