Tenerife’s Council is set to alter traffic flow on the TF-65 roadway in Las Chafiras due to the commencement of works for the third lane on the TF-1, between San Isidro-Las Américas and connecting Oroteanda with Las Chafiras.
According to a release from the Road Infrastructure department, the right lane of the TF-65 downhill towards San Miguel – Chafiras Junction will be temporarily closed in order to facilitate the necessary earthworks for creating the access branches to the new Chafiras overpass at kilometer point 62 +314. This closure will span from the El Camello roundabout to the Chafiras junction at its northern roundabout.
The operations, starting on Monday (June 3) at 07:30, will begin with horizontal signage, implementation of horizontal and vertical signals, and setting up barriers.
After this, machinery will be deployed in the work zone to initiate the earthworks. The anticipated duration of these works is two weeks, with the completion and reopening expected by June 17 at 6:00 p.m.
