Fatalities and Injuries in a Head-On Crash in San Juan de la Rambla



A 72-year-old male has passed away, and two individuals, aged 24 and 20, have sustained severe injuries in a head-on collision involving two vehicles on the TF-5 road, passing through San Juan de la Rambla, on Sunday.

During the incident, which took place around 8:00 a.m., another male was treated for minor abdominal discomfort, but did not require transportation to a medical facility.

The Tenerife Firefighters successfully extricated the drivers of both vehicles, who were trapped following the collision.

Emergency personnel from the Canary Islands attended to the four individuals injured in the accident. Upon discovering that one of them had gone into cardiac arrest, resuscitation attempts were made, unfortunately with no avail, and the individual was pronounced dead.

One of the casualties, a 24-year-old man, suffered severe head and facial injuries and was subsequently transported by ambulance to the University Hospital of the Canary Islands.

The other injured party, a 20-year-old, sustained significant abdominal injuries and was evacuated via ambulance to the Hospiten Bellevue University Hospital.

Traffic control on the road was managed by Civil Guard agents, who also conducted the necessary documentation.

The Road Maintenance Service team was involved in clearing the accident debris from the roadway.
