Maritime Rescue saved a small boat last night carrying 61 Sub-Saharan males, including one minor, when it was sailing about eight miles south of La Restinga, on the island of El Hierro.
As reported by the state agency, just before 2:00 am on this Sunday, the Civil Guard notified the Rescue center in Tenerife of a radar echo, a possible small boat or raft, to the south of the island.

Therefore, the Salvamar Adhara was mobilised and, around 2:50 am, located the small boat and escorted it to the La Restinga dock, where they arrived around 3:30 am.

Once on land, the medical team consisting of Red Cross and Canarian Emergency Service (SUC) attended to 61 migrants, all of them apparently in good health.
