The Tenerife Council is set to adjust traffic arrangements on the TF-65 highway in Las Chafiras to accommodate the commencement of construction work on the third lane of the TF-1 highway within the San Isidro-Las Américas section, linking Oroteanda with Las Chafiras.
As per the Highways department’s announcement, the right lane of TF-65 highway heading downhill towards San Miguel – Chafiras Junction will be temporarily closed from the El Camello roundabout to the northern roundabout at Chafiras. This is to facilitate the construction of access branches for the new Chafiras overpass at kilometer point 62 +314.
The commencement of the project is scheduled for Monday, June 3, at 07:30. Initially, horizontal signage will be installed followed by horizontal and vertical signposts and barrier markings.
Subsequently, earthwork machinery will be mobilised to the construction site to initiate the necessary groundwork. The estimated duration of these operations is two weeks, with the restoration to the original condition expected by 6:00 p.m. on June 17.
