The authorities in Santa Cruz de Tenerife have cordoned off the area around the Flower Clock in García Sanabria park following an incident where a pedestrian was struck by a tree branch. The injured individual has been taken to Nuestra Señora de la Candelaria University Hospital for evaluation.
The Parks and Gardens Service, along with maintenance technicians, will conduct a thorough inspection of the tree to ensure the safety of park visitors. Based on their assessment, decisions will be made regarding the affected tree.
The City Council continues to actively monitor the health of all the trees in Santa Cruz, conducting regular reviews. Following previous incidents, a study was commissioned to assess the overall state of the city’s tree population.
