If there is one festival that takes place in almost every corner of Canary Islands and that in some cases has become a fixed date in the agenda of enthusiasts, it is the romería.
For months, towns celebrate this type of event based on traditions and with all the Canarian flavor, increasingly gaining acceptance and more public attendance. In fact, calendars of all romerías in Tenerife have become common to not miss any of them.
To make this task easier and to continue promoting and defending the island tradition, Casa de Los Balcones has opted for the development of an application that serves as the ideal tool to “know and enjoy all the romerías in the Canary Islands”.
Romerias.app is an essential tool for those wishing to immerse themselves in the cultural richness of this traditional festival: with a detailed calendar of all romerías, providing precise dates and times so as not to miss any.
Furthermore, the app offers detailed information about each of them, by including data such as the history of the patron saints or descriptions of traditional costumes.
It also includes details of geolocated points of interest, as thanks to the integration with Google Maps, users can easily find the routes and exact locations of the festivities.

One of the highlights of Romerias.app is its store section, where users can purchase products related to romerías, from typical costumes to local handicrafts.
The app also features a community section, designed for users to register, share experiences, photos, and advice about the different romerías. This function encourages interaction and the exchange of knowledge among enthusiasts of our traditions.
“Romerias.app was created with the aim of preserving and promoting our beloved romerías, facilitating access to information and creating a vibrant and united community around these celebrations,” commented Fernando Schönfeldt, coordinator of Romerias.app, a platform that is available for download through the official website.
