The Ministry of Public Works, Housing, and Transportation of the Canary Islands government, under the Canary Islands Housing Institute, has given the green light to a project for the construction of thirteen secure homes for public development in Los Pasitos, La Chacona, located in the municipality of Güímar.
Pablo Rodríguez, the councilor for the area, emphasized the significance of this initiative: “We are committed to facilitating the access to housing for the citizens of the Canary Islands by constructing secure and affordable homes that enhance their quality of life and contribute to the sustainable development of our islands.”
The project, with a budget of 2,828,544.52 Euros, not only includes the construction of the residences but also subprojects for electrical installations, fire protection systems, thermal installations, plumbing, sanitation infrastructures, and telecommunications.
This development, set to be completed within 24 months, is part of the Canary Islands Housing Plan 2020-2025, which outlines various programs to create housing environments promoting territorial cohesion and social inclusion.
The construction of these residences underscores the ongoing commitment of the Canary Islands government to enhance residential infrastructure on the islands, bolstering housing policies aimed at ensuring accessibility, sustainability, and quality for all its residents.
