SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, 23rd May. (EUROPA PRESS) –
Today, Thursday, the Cabildo of Tenerife unanimously granted recognition to the families residing on the island, encompassing their diversity. This gesture underscores its dedication to the social organizations on the island that are actively involved in supporting the institution of family.
Alongside this resolution, the Cabildo has also committed to promoting the introduction of a funding programme to aid social organizations engaged in carrying out projects related to social intervention, family mediation, fostering awareness of human diversity, and assisting the most fragile families.
The primary objective of this initiative is to provide support to the social bodies of Tenerife, specifically those reinforcing the family setup (which caters to various family structures), with the overarching goal of proactively addressing situations of vulnerability and social exclusion.
To this end, the Cabildo will initiate a financial assistance programme that will offer a financial framework to aid these organizations in executing family mediation schemes and ventures, social intervention programmes aimed at preventing or tackling vulnerability, and providing support for the care of minors.
