The sky above Palmas de Gran Canaria will be graced this Friday by an aerial display featuring the F-18 jets from the 462 Squadron of the 46th Wing based at Gando Air Base, in celebration of Armed Forces Day. A similar exhibition took place last weekend in Santa Cruz de Tenerife.
The capital of Tenerife was treated to a remarkable showcase of military prowess and capabilities. “There’s no view quite like seeing Tenerife’s capital from the cockpit of an F-18,” exclaimed the 46th Wing on Twitter, the unit of the Royal Air Force responsible for operating fighter jets, helicopters, and coastal surveillance planes in the Canary Islands Air Command.
