The skies of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria will experience an aerial spectacle this Friday as the F-18 planes of the 462 Squadron of the 46 Wing from the Gando Air Base commemorate the Armed Forces Day. The same exhibition took place last weekend in Santa Cruz de Tenerife.

The capital of Tenerife witnessed an impressive display of military skills and capabilities. “There’s nothing like seeing the Tenerife capital from the F-18 cockpit,” tweeted (X) the 46 Wing, the unit of the Spanish Air and Space Force responsible for operating fighter planes, helicopters, and coastal surveillance aircraft in the Canary Islands Air Command.

The event was meticulously planned and coordinated with civil aviation authorities, ensuring that all activities were carried out in accordance with the strictest safety standards. This guaranteed that the spectacle was not only impressive but also safe for all participants and spectators.

The F-18 flight is just one part of the broader celebrations of the Armed Forces Day, which also involve other military branches, including the Army, Navy, Guardia Civil, and the Emergency Military Unit (UME). These events are an opportunity to showcase the skill and dedication of the Spanish armed forces and to foster a sense of pride and community among citizens and the military forces.
