Spanish authorities have disrupted the operations of the Sinaloa cartel in Spain, seizing 1,800 kilos of methamphetamine in the provinces of Valencia and Alicante. This marks the largest seizure of this substance in Spain and the second largest in all of Europe.
As a result of the operation, five individuals have been arrested, including three Spaniards, one Romanian, and one Mexican national.
The Police have successfully dismantled the primary distribution network for synthetic drugs in Europe, which was operating from Tenerife, Madrid, Valencia, and Alicante, according to a statement released by the authorities.
Officials from the Drugs and Organized Crime Unit of the General Commission of the Judicial Police, as well as higher-ranking officers from the Canary Islands and the Valencian Community, are set to provide detailed information on this operation during a press conference scheduled for Thursday. They will also showcase the seized contraband.
