The 2024 participatory budget project now includes the four initiatives chosen by the citizens to be carried out during the year. The most voted proposals were “Mermaids for Everyone” (age group 8 to 11), “Renewal of the painting in the classrooms of the CEO Leoncio Rodríguez” (age group 12 to 15), “Young Space Environment Setting” (age group 16 to 35), and “Adapted Canarian Dances” (people with disabilities and older adults).
Through this initiative, a total budget of €10,000 was made available to residents to propose and decide the destinations of four project groups within the municipal budget for the current year. The Councils of Finance and Citizen Participation, along with the association “En Procesos” and the area of Social Action, Inclusion, Volunteering and Citizen Participation of the Cabildo de Tenerife, organize this participatory budget project, which also had the collaboration of educational centres, toy libraries, El Rosario Youth Dynamization Group, Red Cross, and the Departments of Social Action, New Technologies, Youth, and Education.
