In the midst of Tenerife’s struggle against drought, the Dolores Gutiérrez farm in Güímar stands out as a thriving oasis. Here, a diverse group of apprentices, including African migrants seeking employment opportunities and social integration, infuse the land with vibrancy and life. These lush green expanses, teeming with biodiversity, are brought to life through the tireless efforts of the El Buen Samaritano Canarian Foundation. Since 2022, this foundation has overseen the cultivation of 15,000 square meters under the expert guidance of Silvia Hernández, an esteemed teacher and agroecology specialist.
