THE WEATHER IN THE CANARY ISLANDS | What’s the Forecast for Friday in the Canary Islands?

Expect predominance of low cloud intervals this Friday in the northern part of the islands at the beginning and end of the day, while the rest of the areas will have clear skies, according to Aemet.

At sea, expect northeast winds of 3 to 5, picking up to 4 to 6. Moderate to strong seas. In the southwest coast, winds will be variable at 1 to 3 with breezes and slight ripple.

High clouds with occasional medium cloud intervals dissipating by the end of the day. Low cloud intervals in the north during the morning and in the evening. Mostly clear skies elsewhere. Temperatures slightly decreasing, possibly moderately in the northern highlands. Moderate winds from the north, light in the highlands, with occasional strong gusts on the west and southeast slopes, where very strong gusts could occur locally. Breezes on the southern coast.

EXPECTED MINIMUM AND MAXIMUM TEMPERATURES (°C):

Las Palmas de Gran Canaria 20 24

High clouds with occasional medium cloud intervals dissipating by the end of the day. Low cloud intervals on the north and west coasts in the morning and evening. Mostly clear skies elsewhere. Temperatures with little change in the minimums and slightly decreasing maximums, moderately so on the east coasts. Moderate northerly winds, with occasional strong gusts on the southeast slopes where very strong gusts could occur during the second half of the day.

EXPECTED MINIMUM AND MAXIMUM TEMPERATURES (°C):

Arrecife 19 25

High clouds with occasional medium cloud intervals dissipating by the end of the day. Low cloud intervals on the west coast in the morning and evening. Mostly clear skies elsewhere. Temperatures with little change in the minimums and slightly to moderately declining maximums, especially in the interior and west. Moderate northerly winds, with occasional strong gusts on the southern slopes of Jandía where very strong gusts may occur locally.

EXPECTED MINIMUM AND MAXIMUM TEMPERATURES (°C):

High clouds dissipating by noon. Low cloud intervals in the north in the morning and evening. Mostly clear skies elsewhere. Temperatures unchanged or slightly decreasing, even moderately in maximums in the northeast. Moderate northeasterly winds, light in the highlands, with occasional strong gusts on the western and southeastern extremes, where very strong gusts may occur locally. In the Central Massif, generally light westerly winds. Breezes on the western coasts.

EXPECTED MINIMUM AND MAXIMUM TEMPERATURES (°C):

Santa Cruz de Tenerife 20 24

High clouds dissipating in the afternoon. Low cloud intervals in the north in the morning and evening. Mostly clear skies elsewhere. Temperatures unchanged or slightly decreasing, especially in interior areas. Moderate northerly winds, light in the highlands, with occasional strong gusts on the eastern and western extremes, where very strong gusts may occur locally. Breezes on the southern coasts.

EXPECTED MINIMUM AND MAXIMUM TEMPERATURES (°C):

San Sebastián de La Gomera 21 23

High clouds dissipating in the morning. Low cloud intervals in the north and east. Mostly clear skies elsewhere. Temperatures unchanged or slightly decreasing, even moderately in maximums of high-altitude areas. Moderate northeasterly winds with occasional strong gusts in the northwest and southeast extremes, where very strong gusts may occur locally. Light westerly winds in the highlands. Breezes on the western coasts.
