Five-Year-Old Girl in Critical Condition Following Accident in Tenerife

A young girl, aged five, is currently in critical condition after a road incident on Fermín Morín street in Santa Cruz de Tenerife on Thursday afternoon.

The incident took place after 4:30 p.m., with the Emergency and Security Coordinating Center (CECOES) 1-1-2 of the Government of the Canary Islands receiving an alert about a young girl being involved in a traffic accident at the exit of a garage. This prompted the immediate dispatch of emergency services.

The girl’s family rushed her to the Barrio de la Salud outpatient clinic, where she was found to have sustained serious multiple traumas. Subsequently, she was transferred in critical condition via a medicalised ambulance from the SUC to the Nuestra Señora de Candelaria University Hospital.

Local Police provided an escort for the ambulance to ensure a swift evacuation to the hospital. Additionally, they were responsible for coordinating the necessary procedures.
