SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, 8th May. (EUROPA PRESS) –
On Wednesday, Maritime Rescue successfully saved 52 sub-Saharan migrants who were adrift in a canoe off the southern coast of Tenerife. The emergency was reported to 112 Canarias by phone, as stated by sources from the public institution.
A tour boat dedicated to cetacean sightings first spotted the canoe, prompting the rescue mission led by Salvamar Menkalinan and Salvamar Alpheratz. These vessels safely transported the survivors to the port of Los Cristianos.
