Arona Gran Hotel hosted one of those experiences last Saturday that, as a diner, you remember forever. The taste buds were treated to a feast guided by the culinary expertise of the acclaimed chef Maca de Castro and enjoyed a unique and exclusive tasting menu paired with wines from two great wineries, Privat and Viñátigo. All this, accompanied by live music and the sunset of the south of Tenerife. Can you ask for more?
A complete experience for lovers of fine cuisine, fresh and quality products, and culinary creativity. The menu consisted of a liquid bean salad followed by a skewer of pickled olives. The second dish presented was the pine nut, a pine meringue, capuchin leaf, oyster, and pine nut mochi. The menu continued with a warm lettuce salad with marinated quail before enjoying the benefits of the sea with a salted skate with marine fennel hollandaise. The main dishes were rounded off with the slaughter potato, a rose-shaped potato with almond, sobrasada, and lemon verbena. Finally, as a sweet element, guests could enjoy an acorn parfait.
This menu reflects the clear commitment to the value of the chef’s product, awarded with a Michelin star, a green Michelin star, and three Repsol suns in her already extensive professional career.

Gastrolovers, a living project
There have already been three editions carried out by Spring Hotels in which diners have been able to enjoy renowned national and international chefs on the island. This project falls within the southern hotel chain’s policy to offer its guests and visitors innovative options to complement their stay.
Spring Hotels’ Product Director, Yaiza González, points out that “It has been a real success in terms of participation, both from tourists staying with us at the hotel and from locals who have not wanted to miss the opportunity to attend a different and magical experience.” She also emphasizes that “we will continue working on offering valuable alternatives to people who trust Spring Hotels to enjoy a holiday in our archipelago, the Gastrolovers project is more alive than ever, and we hope to soon have news for this 2024”.
