The town hall of La Orotava, through the commerce department led by Deisy Ramos, once again organises, within the framework of Mother’s Day celebrations, the magic festival. This event has been highly successful in previous editions, both due to the high public participation and the exceptional quality of the participating magicians. In this sixth edition, taking place on Saturday, 4th May, between 10:30 and 13:30, at Franchi Alfaro square, popular magicians and illusionists of regional, national, and international prestige will be featured. Among the invited artists are Joaquín Matas, national magic award winner and 2022 Got Talent finalist; Pere Rafart, two-time world card magic champion, and Amelie, national award winner in stage magic. The event will also showcase magician Malcon and Edson Grey, an expert in mentalism. Lili Quintana, presenter, announcer, and currently one of the most prominent actresses in the Canary Islands, will be the master of ceremonies for this edition.
Magical Shows and Workshops to Delight Audience at the Festival
The magic and illusionism festival will feature two stages for stage magic performances where various shows will take place; there will also be an area for close-up magic and various workshops for the youngest and most active participants. Throughout the morning, attendees will enjoy other surprises.
Celebrating Mother’s Day with Magic and Commercial Campaign
This magic event ties in with the commercial campaign for Mother’s Day (Sunday, 5th May) by using the slogan “Mum, you’re the queen of hearts,” as the famous playing card symbolises the value and importance of mothers and guardians, who are pillars in life.
Support Local Businesses and Win Travel Vouchers
The town hall invites all citizens to shop in the Villa’s open commercial zone between 29th April and 4th May. By doing so, they have the chance to participate in a draw for travel vouchers to take “mum” on vacation. When shopping in La Orotava’s businesses, individuals receive a raffle ticket to be deposited in the ballot box, available until Friday, 4th May, at the Municipal Tourist Office (on Carrera Escultor Estévez street). On 5th May, between 10:30 and 13:00, the ballot box will be at Franchi Alfaro square. The draw will take place on this same day during the magic festival.
A Magical Event to Enhance the Commercial Zone
The exhibition, created by the creative company 10decorazones, is organised by the commerce department of the town hall and produced by Barco de Papel Canarias. The event not only promotes the art of magic but also energises the commercial area, offering a different, fun, original, and magical day for families to participate in.
