The Candelaria Local Police in Tenerife apprehended an individual on Thursday in connection with an alleged robbery involving force and violence against individuals at a supermarket, along with breaching a court order to enter a penitentiary centre. The incident took place in the afternoon on Avenida de la Constitución.
Witnesses alerted the authorities after spotting an individual hastily exiting the supermarket and shouting. Moreover, the supermarket staff called the police to report the incident. A search operation was promptly initiated, leading to the apprehension of the suspect.
Upon verifying the detainee’s identity, the police discovered that the individual was in violation of a court order to go to prison, which they had neglected to follow. Additionally, it was confirmed that the Civil Guard of the Candelaria Post had been searching for the suspect for some time.
The detainee has been remanded in judicial custody. The Candelaria City Council expresses gratitude for the public’s cooperation in this matter and commends the Local Police for their dedication to maintaining the safety of Villa Mariana.
