The scandal that led to the divorce of actor William Levy and its impact on the Canary Islands

The image of the perfect boyfriend that Levy portrays in soap operas is starkly different from reality. Currently, he is undergoing a challenging divorce process with actress Elizabeth Gutierrez, with whom Levy shares two children: Christopher, 18, and Kailey, 14.

After being together for two decades, the breaking point of their relationship was not Levy’s alleged involvement with Mercedes Milá or his proximity to Jennifer Lopez. Levy was once accused of playing a role in Lopez’s split from Marc Anthony.

The catalyst for the marriage breakdown appears to be the affair Levy had with a woman from Tenerife who became pregnant in 2022 while he was filming the Spanish co-production series Monte Cristo. Parts of the series were shot in Spain, including Tenerife, where the actor had the affair. The series also featured locations like the El Rincón palace by Tamara Falcó, where the show, The Promise, is currently being filmed.

However, reports suggest that it was not in Tenerife where Levy met the woman with whom he was unfaithful to his wife but in a Madrid nightclub. This information comes from Mexican gossip show contributor, Carlos Corbacho.

Whether in Madrid or Tenerife, according to Corbacho, the affair between the actor and the Canary Islander lasted between three to four months. Corbacho also mentioned that the relationship ended just before Levy’s birthday when the woman revealed her pregnancy.

Subsequently, Levy distanced himself from the woman, blocking her on social media to avoid contact. As per the claims of the Gossip No Like contributor, Levy’s assistant handled the situation by providing money for the woman to undergo an abortion. She proceeded with the procedure, but the aftermath shows that she is now battling depression.
