Today, the Parliament of the Canary Islands debuts Spain’s inaugural official video podcast featuring a discussion amongst the parliamentary groups’ spokespersons.
Chamber President, Astrid Pérez, highlighted that “in this first episode, the parliamentary groups’ spokespeople will address why some members of the public perceive the Canary Islands Parliament as distant from society and suggest potential solutions to alter this perception.
“We trust you will enjoy this laid-back and candid dialogue, aiming to bring the Parliament closer to the public,” Pérez expressed.
The Chamber’s Presidency confirmed that ‘Open Parliament’ is intended to become a permanent feature as a fresh approach to connect with the people of the Canary Islands.
“We aim to invite individuals from all sectors to participate in the ‘Open Parliament’ video podcast, individuals with insights and expertise to share, spanning from sports to culture, through science, education, the corporate sector, or the entertainment industry. It’s a more contemporary and nimble format that will also enable us to discover the institution from a different perspective,” he further added.
