SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, 25th April. (EUROPA PRESS) –
Today, on Thursday, an outbreak of wildfire was officially declared on the La Orilla mountain, specifically in the vicinity of Mirador Era de la Degollada (towards Mesa de Tejina), within the municipality of Tegueste. The fire is affecting a dense scrub area that is challenging to access.
According to the Tenerife Cabildo, the Forest Brigades (Brifor) of the island Corporation are currently on-site with a fire deterrent vehicle and a highly manoeuvrable tactical vehicle.
Tenerife Firefighters Consortium members, alongside Volunteer Firefighters, are actively involved in combatting the wildfire. They are being supported by officers from the Local Police, Civil Guard, and Tegueste’s Civil Protection services.
The Cabildo de Tenerite has promptly deployed one of its helicopters, which will be commencing operations imminently.
