SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, 21st April. (EUROPA PRESS) –
In the last few hours, two irregular boats have made their way to the Canary Islands, carrying a total of 171 migrants.
According to 112 Canarias, the first boat was rescued by Maritime Rescue in waters close to El Hierro, with 53 individuals who were then transported to La Restinga Dock.
Upon arrival, the standard medical team that tends to migrants at the dock was present. Two women had to be taken to the hospital due to abdominal pain.
The Red Cross reported that the second irregular vessel arrived at Los Cristianos Pier (Tenerife) with approximately 108 people on board.
The health team provided assistance to all migrants, with eight individuals being transferred to hospital facilities for various medical conditions.
