Today, the Santa Cruz de Tenerife City Council has taken the decision to raise the red flag at the Los Charcos bathing area in Valleseco, due to the potential presence of jellyfish as reported on their official social media profiles.

The City Council of the capital has announced that “swimming is currently prohibited, but the sunbathing area remains open.”

Furthermore, they have stated that “the situation in the El Block area is under constant surveillance to assess if similar measures need to be implemented.”
